Digby, Lord Jones of Birmingham lecture

The event was attended by 100 guests from the business, civic and academic communities, sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers and was in aid of HKF.   Lord Jones' theme was "People who are skilled to face the challenges of globalisation make a safer society".  The lecture was very well received, as was a speech by one of the Foundation's award winners, Andrew Dean.  Andrew spoke about the difference receiving the HKF bursary had made to his life - he is currently studying Youth and Community Studies at North East Wales Institute, Wrexham.  Andrew is pictured here receiving a £1000 cheque for the Foundation from Lord Jones.
