The Helena Kennedy Foundation is delighted to announce that we now have an office base in Birmingham. Thanks to a great welcome and generous office space from South and City College Birmingham, the Charity can firmly operate directly in the Midlands. The Foundation provides financial bursaries as well as invaluable support for up-to 100 students annually – progressing from Further Education to Higher Education – who would not ordinarily be able to access a positive route to Education, due to a wide variety of life’s difficulties and barriers to achieving life-enhancing academic success.
College Principal, Mike Hopkins said “South & City College Birmingham are delighted to be able to support the Helena Kennedy Foundation. We hope more local deserving students in further education will benefit from the bursaries and go on to be successful in higher education.”
This new office space means we can work and help provide *volunteering opportunities (*subject to DBS check) for a National charity.
“Delighted that as well as having a presence in London we also now have a base in my home town. I am very much looking forward to making new connections and building stronger links with our partners in the Midlands “Shahida Aslam, Operations Manager.
