My name is Anna Roberts, I am 21 years old and a 3rd Year Politics student at the University of Nottingham.
I joined HKF as a marketing intern in October, never having done marketing before. I didn’t know what to expect and was anxious to start. However, after my first meeting with Shahida, I instantly felt reassured, and I knew that I would enjoy the role and would learn so much.
It has now been almost two months since I started with HKF, and I have already learned more than I thought possible! I am now confident using software, such as Canva, that I had never even heard of! I have also gained confidence in my own capabilities, with Shahida’s encouragement I have learnt to trust my own judgement and now propose ideas, rather than just waiting to be told what to do. But most importantly it has been amazing to work with such an amazing Foundation that does admirable work and especially working with Shahida because you can tell how passionate she is about the Foundation and her work, which is really inspiring.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to intern at HFK and can’t wait to continue.
