On Mental Health Awareness week James Corbin a former recipient of a Helena Kennedy Foundation bursary shares his top 3 mental health tips.
1. Assess your environment and how you can adjust it to help maintain a better mental space.
2. Allow yourself to make mistakes and don’t punish yourself for it.
3. Speak about your anxieties and worries with people you trust. A problem shared is really a problem halved.
James commented, “Today mental health is so much more than a cliche topic, every single person has to be attentive to maintaining a healthy mindset and mental state. I have realised these things and learned to make it a priority – taking time to take care of myself. You are never too old, too young or too busy to take more care towards your mental health”.
