Elizabeth is executive director of communications for
Kaplan, a global education company. Her expertise in public and media relations and crisis communications have been gained in the education and telecommunications sectors. She has worked in the US, the Netherlands and the UK for private and listed companies, a UN-affiliated intergovernmental organisation, and a business-membership organisation.
In her current role she is responsible for strategic communications campaigns, media relations, crisis communications and corporate social responsibility. She also acts as the spokesperson for the company. Elizabeth earned an MA in Geography at McGill University, Montreal and a BA with Honors in Geography, at UCLA, Los
Angeles. She is co-chair of governors at Highgate Wood School, a 1500-pupil comprehensive secondary school, and she believes in the critical importance of supporting comprehensive schools to provide a first class education for all children, regardless of academic ability. In addition to her role as trustee of the Helena Kennedy Foundation, Elizabeth also supports the Baobab Centre for Young Survivors in Exile and RefuAid.
